Legal
Terms
Last updated 12 October 2026
These terms cover use of this website and the introductory conversation. They are between you and Melissa Tate, a sole trader based in Oxford, England, trading as Melissa Tate GTM. Paid work is covered by a separate agreement.
The site
The site describes the practice. Nothing on it is an offer to take on a client, and nothing on it is advice you should rely on for a decision. Case studies and testimonials describe particular engagements. They are not a promise of a result.
The 20-minute conversation
Booking a call, or sending a note, is a conversation about your priorities and whether there is a fit. It is not a review, a plan, or the start of an engagement. There is no fee and no obligation on either side. Either of us may decide not to continue.
The booking page states the notice for changing or cancelling the call. Please give that notice if you cannot attend.
When work starts
Work starts only when the scope, the fee and the terms have been agreed in writing. A booking, a form submission or an email is not that agreement. Fees are agreed for each engagement. Expenses are charged only if they have been agreed.
Your information
Information you provide should be accurate. The practice will rely on it. You remain responsible for decisions taken in your business. What you share on a call or in a form is treated as confidential, except where disclosure is required by law, or where you have agreed it can be used, for example in a testimonial or a case study.
Intellectual property
The site content belongs to Melissa Tate GTM. Work created for a client, and any methods or materials used across engagements, are covered in the engagement agreement. Nothing on this page transfers ownership of those.
Liability
The site is provided as is. Melissa Tate GTM is not liable for decisions made from reading it, or for loss arising from use of the site, except where liability cannot be excluded by law. Liability for paid work is set out in the engagement agreement, not here.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, including for clients in the United States, unless an engagement agreement says otherwise.
Changes
These terms may be updated. The date at the top is the version that applies. Continued use of the site after an update means the new version applies.
